An Examination of Stories Taught at Various Educational Levels with Regard to Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development

Abstract

This research study was conducted on stories that had moral messages and were taught at various levels in the 1998-1999 academic year in Erzurum. While all the stories taught at pre-school were found to be suitable to the pupils’ moral development level, 50% of the stories taught at primary schools were found to be suitable and the other 50% were found to be below the pupils' moral development level.
