The Importance of Science Education Laboratory Practicals in The Training of Primary Schools Teachers

Abstract

Studies conducted so far show that experimental work is an important and essential part of science education. In order to investigate how, when and in which ways practicals are carried out in science education, a teacher survey was carried out and some classroom observations were made at 20 primary schools in Erzurum. It was observed that teachers concentrated on demonstrative practicals.
