Abstract
This semi-experimental research was conducted to investigate the effects of data-driven learning (DDL) on learners’ achievement and retention of lexical acquisition. Instruction was delivered through a learning management system. The data collection instrument, of which reliability and validity were tested, is a vocabulary knowledge scale. The statistical method used to analyze the data besides the descriptives was Ancova. The results of the study revealed that the learners utilized the data-driven learning tools performed a significant achievement and retention on acquisition of academic words comparing to the control group.
